Diabetes is a disease that deals with your blood sugar. Either your blood sugar is all over the place or your body is not producing enough or too little of insulin to keep you going. There are two known types of diabetes. There is type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes can happen to anyone. Type 1 is when your body doesn't produce enough insulin. According to American Diabetes Association (ADA) insulin is a hormone that the body need glucose(sugar) to get into the bloodstream into the cell of the body. This type is manageable, with medication and change of lifestyle. Type 2 is pretty common, it doesn't use insulin corectly.Type 2 is when you are trying to get control of your blood sugar. With type 2 you can incorporate healthy eating and exercising.
There are ways to know that you have this disease. You are using the bathroom frequently, loosing weight unusually, very thirsty, fatigue, irritability, and being very hugry. If you notice these symptoms you have to go to the doctor so they can diagnose you with diabetes and prescribe you with medication to keep your diabetes under control. To prevent it you can look into your family history and incorporating exercise and having a healthy diet.
