When it comes to buying makeup it comes with a price. Companies know their demographic and know how to market to them
either on social media or on TV or by They know how to market to them and get their money. Even big retails like
Ulta and Sephora which they have a point system and a credit card program, know how to get people to spend their money. Ulta
have alot of sales, this gets alot of people to stock up on skincare and makeup. The point system for Ulta and Sephora is similar
except Ulta your points turn to dollars and you can redeem your points to take the dollar amount off your purchase. The downside
of it is that your pointsa at Ulta, can expire. Sephora points you can rack up and it won't expire. You can use your Sephora points
to get free stuff like makeup and/or skincare. How they similar is that they both have a point system and a credit card program that
will mess up your credit score.
When people follow their favorite makeup artist, makeup blog or influencer across the different social media platforms, they see how
much makeup they have. This can encourage them, the consumer, to go out and purchase the product they saw in an video or picture. This too
can be a form of marketing because the influencer and/or blogger is show casting the product and they are telling their followers its their
favorite product and how it works so well with their makeup. This comes with consequences because everybody have different skin types and our
skin react to different things. The best way or could be the worst way is watching decluttering videos on Youtube.Decluttering videos show you
how much stuff influencer bought or recieved for free. Some people might relate with the influencer because they too have to declutter their
makeup collection. It goes to show you how much stuff people are willing to buy even if they already have that stuff in their collection.
Just like food makeup expire and when it expire it can be not good for your face. If you continue to buy new makeup, you will forget the ones
in your collection and it can start to expire. There are alot of ways for brands can get people to but makeup and it is up to the consumers to
to not buy as much cosmetics, after all the product is going to the wasteland and contributing to our the earth pollution.
